About Me

After completing my MA Clinical Psych at Wits, I completed my internship at an adolescent and eating disorder unit as well as a general hospital with psychiatric facilities.  Thereafter, I completed my community service year and worked as a psychologist on various wards in the hospital (nephrology, oncology, psychiatry and out-patient department). For the past few years I have been working in private practice and in the tertiary education sector. I hold a Doctorate, in the field of psychology, that focused on the therapeutic process.

Teaching, training and accolades in the field of teaching and learning, within the education sector, have equipped me with the ability to accurately articulate information so that learning can take place. This is most necessary in training and workshops when aiding the expression of personal creativity, growth, leadership skills and problem solving.

With the postgraduate qualification in clinical psychology I am licensed to practice independently as a clinical psychologist through the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA). I am committed to my own on-going professional development and continually seek to develop my skills in psychodynamic psychotherapy modalities, learning and development models.

I am also a licensed NBI whole brain thinking practitioner in teaching, learning and organisations. I am also a member of PsySSA.
